MCF “IMKONIYAT”

The “Imkoniyat” microcredit fund has a 28-year history of activity. In 1995, within the framework of the projects of the International Organization “Save the Children”, the USA started a microcredit program for the poor and vulnerable population of Tajikistan, and it is considered one of the pioneers in the field of public access to financial services. . The first sponsor of the Fund was the SOROS Foundation. From 1999 to 2005, it continued its activities under the name of the Star of Salvation NGO, and in April 2005, after receiving the UN License, the Small Credit Fund “Imkoniyat” was established. From the first days of its activity, the fund became a member of the Association of microfinance organizations of Tajikistan. The main priority of the Fund is the inclusion of the poor population in financial services, especially women. At present, 34 people work in “Imkoniyat” FKH, 15 of them, including the Executive Director, Branch Director and managers, are women. FKH has 1 branch and 4 МХМХ.
