USAID ACAT Conference in collaboration with AMFOT

On May 10 of this year, an event was held at the Hyatt Regency Dushanbe on the topic “Access to finance for business: difficulties and their solutions.” The conference was supported by USAID Agribusiness Competitiveness Activity (ACAT) in cooperation with the Association of Microfinance Organizations (AMFOT). As part of the USAID project, ACAT partnered with five microfinance institutions, providing each of them with grant funds to develop specialized agricultural credit products with affordable interest rates and reduced lending requirements.

This conference was attended by the Executive Director and the Head of the Credit Department of the IMF IMKONYAT. They spoke about the foundation’s services, i.e. about the organization’s interest rate, grace periods for agriculture and barriers that arise for farmers to access financing, and also spoke about the positive aspects of the ACAT project.
